Referees Guide

 Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

  1. Reviewers should agree to evaluate a manuscript only if it falls within their area of expertise.
  2. While reviewing manuscripts, reviewers must respect viewpoints that differ from their own. Criticism should be constructive and evidence-based; reviewers should refrain from dismissing a manuscript solely because it presents opposing or unconventional ideas.
  3. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not disclose any information about the content, findings, or status of a manuscript under review until it is published.
  4. Reviewers are obligated to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, professional, personal, or otherwise, that might compromise their objectivity in evaluating the manuscript, and must promptly inform the Editor-in-Chief of such conflicts.
  5. Manuscripts must be evaluated solely on their scholarly merit, without regard to the author’s nationality, ethnicity, cultural background, religion, gender, or socioeconomic status.
  6. Reviewers must refrain from making derogatory, disrespectful, or defamatory remarks about the author(s) in their comments.
  7. Reviewers must conduct their evaluations fairly, objectively, and without bias.
