Abstract

Due to its special place in the history of Islam and especially the history of Shiism, the event of Ashura is one of the topics that has contributed a lot to the researches of Muslims and non-Muslims over the centuries. However, only a small part of these works and compositions have analyzed and investigated the reason for the presence of Imam Hossein's family in Karbala. The current research tries to investigate and categorize these viewpoints in a descriptive-analytical way and appropriately by using historical and narrative methods, and examines this issue in the form of three types of government, martyrdom and revival of religion, and by describing and explaining the types, unknown aspects. Explain them and explain the reasons for these kinds of reasons for the presence of Imam Hossein's family. As a result of the research, it became clear that the supporters of the form of government, the reason for the presence of the family of Imam Hossein is to protect them from the harm of the enemy, and the supporters of the form of martyrdom consider the reason for this companionship to be a divine and predetermined task and they believe that this companionship is part of the divine mission of Imam Hussein.  has been The third group who believe in the revival of religion also considered the reason for the presence of Imam Hussain's family in Karbala to be the duty of sending a message and they believe that this presence was to fulfill part of Imam Hussain's lofty goals and this is the revival of religion through information. .
