Abstract
Islamic conquests in Iran during numerous battles such as Qadesiyah (14 AH), Jalula (16 AH) and Nahavand (21 AH) provided the basis for Muslim Arabs to dominate this land. These conquests have a special importance and place due to the fact that they created fundamental changes and also brought about religious, political, social and other transformations. In the meantime, the deep effects of the Nahavand war in the system of Islamic conquests have made the present article with a descriptive-analytical approach while examining the causes of the war, examines the strategies and factors that led to the victory of the Muslims in this decisive war and its consequences as the main concerns of this research. According to the findings of the research, apart from religious motivations, things like command structure, detailed war planning and effective use of psychological and stimulating elements are among the important strategies of Muslims in Nahavand War and has also provided the possibility of achieving political, military and other goals.
