Islam has been the subject of researcher’s curiosity from the beginning of its appearance for its original and applied doctrines so that many western scholars of recent centuries, have studied around it and some of them have focused on it. However, there is a little information in researcher works about reasons that Hofmann focus on research and study in Islam. It is not a rare work to study how the non-Muslims interest in Islam, but analytic study on reasons that he interested in Islam and Islamic thoughts, is a new approach. this study deals with these reasons. It is supposed that the reasons of such event are Islam attractions and Christianity expulsion. In other words, Hofmann first abandoned his ancestral religion because of its deficiency and then interested in Islam in his search of truth. it can be responded that Hofmann (a fanatic catholic and a prominent scientific person) became Muslim by studying the Quran and Muslims life. He has a lot of works on this subject and internalize Islamic thoughts. He was fully committed to fulfilment of Islamic worships and rites.
